Prac-tic Spot On for dogs is a monthly spot on flea and tick preventative treatment. It provides protection against fleas and ticks for 30 days. The flea spot-on also treats tick infestations including: Amblyomma americanum, Ixodes scapularis, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus. It is recommended for puppies and dogs at least 8 weeks of age and weighing more than 4 lbs. in body weight.

Prac-tic Spot On for Dogs lasts for a full month. It contains Pyriprole as an active ingredient that works by affecting GABA receptors of fleas and ticks resulting in their death. It kills fleas within a day and ticks within two days of administration.

Prac-tic Spot On also aids in the control and treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) in dogs along with controlling future flea and tick infestations when given on a monthly basis.

Directions

Take off a single pipette from the package.
Hold in an upright position.
Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the content is intact within the main body of the pipette.
Break the top of the snap-off along the scored line.
Divide the coat on the back of the dog between the shoulder blades till you can see the skin of the dog.
Place the tip of the pipette on the skin of the dog and press it gently multiple times at a single or multiple spots and empty the content on the skin.
If you have a larger dog, apply the 5 ml pipette on 2-3 spots down the back-line to prevent run off.
There should not be any excessive wetting of the hair with the product because it can cause a clogged appearance of hair at the treatment spot. If that happens, do not panic as it will vanish within 24 hours of administration.

Dosage and Administration

Weigh the dog properly before selecting the most appropriate pipette size for best results.

Safety

Children and other pets should not be allowed to get near the product.
Dispose of the used pipettes appropriately in a safe manner.
Keep the product in an area where it is protected from direct sunlight.
Never allow the treatment to get into the eyes of the pet. If in case, it does enter the eyes then rinse the eyes of the dog with running water.
Never bath or shampoo the dog 48 hours prior to administration of the treatment.
Read the manufacturer's instructions properly before administering this treatment.
While administering this treatment on dogs, do not eat, smoke or drink.

Contraindications

Do not administer this treatment on dogs younger than 8 weeks of age and body weight less than 4 lbs.
Never administer this treatment on sick or convalescing dogs.
Not recommended to be administered on rabbits.
Only to be used on dogs.
This treatment is not evaluated on breeding dogs, during pregnancy or undergoing lactation periods.
This treatment is not recommended for cats.
