This broad-spectrum spot-on formula works effectively to kill adult fleas, treat and control ear mites, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and sarcoptic mange. It also prevents heartworms, the deadliest worms of all.
Advocate for Cats is only recommended for use on cats older than 9 weeks of age and weighing at least 2lbs. Moreover, it is a waterproof treatment. This means that this cat flea and wormer treatment remains effective even after your kitty comes in contact with water.
Advantage Multi for Cats over 10lbs (Purple Pack) is a fast-acting treatment that starts working within one hour of application. Advocate rapidly kills fleas within 12 hours of administration. It has two main ingredients- Imidacloprid and Moxidectin. Imidacloprid kills fleas that can cause dermatitis and destroys ear mites, which can cause ear infections in dogs. Moxidectin triggers nerve transmission which results in paralysis and then eventual death of parasites. On the other hand, Imidacloprid is quite effective in controlling fleas by directly attacking its nervous system leading to paralysis and death. Thus, this highly effective treatment not only kills fleas but also protects cats against other harmful parasites.
